Who would believe it?! I went to see this movie in what is now an antique movie theater in Easton, MD on the Eastern Shore, when it was released. I was working as a lifeguard that summer and after seeing this film could not swim in the chlorinated pool without seeing those teeth coming at me. I have loved shark movies ever since. Congrats to Speilberg for his first blockbuster and continued success!

EEEeks.... I was terrified by the commercials at the time so there was no way I was going to see the movie.
I think I was between 35 and 40 before I actually saw the movie.
