TWW - Weekend Recap

The three words for this weekend are: Yarn, Pattern, Success.

I completed the knitting portion of my first baby sweater and hat that will be a gift for a co-worker. Now all I have to do is sew the seams and add buttons to the sweater and add tassles to the hat.

In other news, I found the yarn I wanted for a lightweight, mesh patterned vest to wear for work. I will be using Red Heart Stardust in a lavendar colorway. It is knit on size 9US in three rectangular pieces and sewn together. The pattern is free and available at redheart.com.

I hope everyone has fun projects for their Spring~!

Froggy Friday

I went to a training today and they believe in keeping your hands busy so you will stay more focused, engaged, listen better and pay more attention.

Here is what my seatmate created. I worked on a secret crochet project and got four more "shells" done by the end of the day, besides learning a lot.

Happy Friday to All!

TWW - First One

TWW = Three Word Weekend. I am going to try to sum up each weekend on Sundays with this idea.

This weekend it was all about: Plan, Create, Crochet. Yes, you heard me right, crochet. I am working on these really cute little monsters that are great for little kids hands. I had a lot of fun playing with the pattern for future use.

It was also about knitting retreat plans and info, cooking for the week's lunches and doing house chores. It is really nice to have at least one weekend a month to do these things.

I hope to get back on the blogging track soon. I am working on a scheduled plan, I promise. It has been difficult to carve out the time with the new job, but I am coming out the other side of the training and into the light of "got it."

I hope everyone is seeing the beauty of SPRING in their world~!

Gnome Hats - Pattern is Available for Free

I received a note from a reader that said the link to my Gnome Hat pattern was missing at Ravelry. So, I went in and fixed it. It should be working now. Thank you for the catch on that. And happy hat knitting to all~!
