When gas prices are looking like this, I think it is a good idea to find fun things to do close to home.
I heard about our local Stitch N'Pitch event at the Knit In Public Day event I attended and last knit I found the flyer in Knitter's Kove.
It is Saturday, July 6th at 6:05 p.m. (gates open - game time is 7:05 p.m.) It is sponsored by the Sky Sox and National Needle Arts Association.
They encourage you to bring your knitting, crochet, cross stitch, embroider, or needlepoint to the game and meet/visit with other like-minded needle art folks. The tickets are $11 each and include a food voucher for hot dog, chips and soda. Plus $1 is donated to NAMP (Needle Arts Mentoring Program).
You can order tickets by emailing sdecker@skysox.com (Sean Decker).
Psst: rumor is Knitter's Kove is going to have a booth and give out goodies of some sort.
