Camp Loopy Fabric Camp - Assembling the Bright Parts

The next step for this project was to sew together the bright parts for the front and for the back.

The front (pictured) was done with 2 1/2 by 10 1/2 inch strips done in three blocks of five strips each.

The back was done with fifteen 2 1/2 by 12 1/2 inch strips done in one long strip assembled in alternating colors.

Now it is time to measure and cut for the borders. The original finished size goal for this project is 18 wide by 36 inches long and will cover the top of my lateral file at work. Let's see how close I am to that goal. Watch for more progress on this project soon.

Gift for the 1st Time Gramma

As part of the Lewe the Sheep baby gift, I crafted a stuffie for the 1st time Gramma. This one is done from the pattern, The Bunny Pattern by Heather from the Sewing Loft.

I used some polar fleece with minkie scraps from the back of the Lewe quilt. This gramma-to-be likes bunnies so that is why this was so perfect.

Hopefully she will love it.

Party Socks

These are finally done. I started with Twinkle Toe Socks as my first toe up sock in May of 2012. I loved the way it went together until I got to the ruffled bind off. Three days later I decided that the second sock would not happen the same way.

Then I saw the Basic Sock pattern with the Happy Ruffled Sock Cuff modification from Churchmouse Yarns and said, Why not make this the second sock? This sock only took me 10 days to knit.

So, now I have a pair, one has a cuffed with ruffle and the other, on the right, is the short cuff with ruffle by Churchmouse. They should wear really cute, maybe with capris this summer. Party On with socks~!

Camp Loopy Fabric Camp - Project Begins

I am getting a late start but I had to complete the baby gifts I was creating.

Now I am ready to start on the first camp project for this summer. It is the one that required three half yards of batiks that the colors convey hometown or favorite place. I am using bright, fun colors with a grey neutral to make a table runner to brighten my office.

I have cut the strips of the three brights. I have designed a pattern to make a reversible runner. Only have one snag so far: how to quilt it properly for both sides to benefit. I think I have it solved in my mind but time will tell.

Zombie Quilt Complete

This project was a big success. It was gifted yesterday at a surprise baby shower. Along with the quilt and stuffies, I decorated the diaper cake with cute zombies. It was really fun project. Wishing you all big wins with your projects~!

Lewe Quilt is Finished

And right on time. The baby is due next week. His grandma is driving out to meet the new addition after a local visit with all the Colorado family.

This quilt was a lot of fun and all the other pieces that went with it like the car seat cover, the growth chart and the bear stuffies.

Zombie Stuffies

And here are the Zombie Stuffies that go with the baby quilt I recently posted.

These are a preprinted panel also done by Riley Blake. There were three color options and I chose this one because it has a blue dog (we know the baby is a boy).

Otherwise this set could work for a boy or a girl.

They are pictured with another baby project I am working on that I will post about soon.
