Today was an unexpected gift. I have been working all weekend to accomplish some cleaning goals I had to reduce excess in my apartment. I am pleased with my progress so far. This morning I got up and decided to complete the most pressing of the tasks and run out to locate a skein of yarn to finish a project. Of course, I had a coupon for JoAnn Fabrics and went there to save some money on my purchase. As I drove over there I heard a brief blurb on the radio about newly released movies as a Super Bowl Party avoidance technique and heard them mention one that is on my list to see. So I popped on by the big theater at that end of town, after procuring my yarn, to see when the movie was playing. Lo and behold, it started in 20 minutes. I parked the car and grabbed my bag: off the theater I went. Not only did I get in for matinee price but I also scored a T-shirt. How cool is that!
I saw Because I Said So with Diane Keaton and it is hysterical! Well worth the time to go see and it will be a keeper on my shelf as soon as it comes out in DVD. I credit the few men in the audience for showing their dedication to sit through this truly chick flick. The out loud laughter alone was the key to this movie's success. And the chatting after the movie with complete strangers was energizing and inspiring. The movie's message is clear: there is hope for all of us to a have a fun, meaningful life no matter our circumstances.
If you have the chance -- go see it. I did and have a T-shirt to prove it! :-)
Enjoy your world!
